For as long as I can remember I have had my hands in artistic mediums of all sorts. It is how I express myself as well as share the world through my eyes with those around me. When I took up photography I found a passion for capturing Mother Nature’s design elements with my lens.
Shallow depth of field is very prominent in my work. This technique allows me to guide my viewer to focus on the details that I see as vital and brings the small details that people often miss front and center. Taking on the look of a painting and becoming almost abstract; color, texture and pattern are quite common in my images. Using distinctive and dramatic lighting I am able to give my subjects a fresh and original look. I find macro photography to be the best avenue to showcase my vision.
With my images I intend to create unique art pieces that become a point of interest in the room. They are meant for inspiration for the design of a space as well as the perfect accent to a beautifully decorated room. They work well in both business settings and consumer spaces. Ultimately, I want my images to remind people to stop and look around; so often we miss the beauty right in front of us.
